We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Gov Facility Services Ltd. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our prison facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Work alongside experienced colleagues to maintain and repair mechanical systems, including plumbing, heating, and water systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement improvements to our facilities and services.
- Provide excellent customer service to our prison staff and prisoners.
- Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent.
- Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems.
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements.
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
