Our client is a well-regarded food-centric pub located in a charming village setting. This establishment is known for its exceptional culinary offerings and has built a strong reputation in the local community.

They are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to become part of their dedicated kitchen team of five. This bustling gastro pub takes pride in creating all dishes in-house using the finest local produce from Derbyshire. The venue has received numerous accolades and currently holds a prestigious rosette.

The ideal candidate will be a versatile chef capable of managing various kitchen sections. Most importantly, you should be prepared to take charge and oversee kitchen operations during the head chef's absence. This is a high-volume establishment, serving up to 150 guests daily, while maintaining a commitment to quality. You will lead by example in this hands-on role.

This Sous Chef role is perfect for an experienced Junior Sous or Sous Chef who possesses a genuine passion for culinary arts and demonstrates creativity and flair. The gastro pub is well-respected both locally and beyond, sourcing all ingredients from local Derbyshire suppliers, which they take great pride in. They offer a daily menu that showcases the best seasonal produce available.

The successful applicant will have the enthusiasm and ambition to excel in the culinary field. Our client is looking for an experienced Junior Sous or Sous Chef.

Requirements:
- Experience with fresh ingredients, ideally in a busy rosette-rated or fresh food environment.
- Proven track record in a high-pressure kitchen setting.
