We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at LTF Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and will play a crucial role in facilitating their educational journey.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized assistance to students with ASD, both in classroom settings and during extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with educators to design and implement individualized support plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Execute Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and modify support strategies based on ongoing assessments of student progress.
- Assist students in enhancing their social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Track and document student development, providing consistent updates to teaching staff and families.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment within the school community.
- Participate in training and professional development sessions to remain informed about the latest practices in special education.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience working with children with ASD or similar needs in an educational or support setting.
- Relevant qualifications in special education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare).
- Comprehensive understanding of various learning challenges, physical disabilities, and behavioral issues.
