Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our electronics hardware team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety-critical technology for commercial and military aerospace projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to a team of electronics engineers, ensuring the delivery of compliant designs on time within hardware development lifecycle processes.
  • Design and Development: Design, analyze, implement, and verify electronic circuits in accordance with defined requirements specifications, including cost and reliability targets.
  • Requirements Capture: Capture, develop, and validate hardware requirements, ensuring traceability of design to requirements.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Document design activities, ensuring adherence to relevant project, company, or regulatory standards and processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with systems, software, and mechanical disciplines to ensure that hardware level requirements have been met and to overcome trade-offs or problems identified in the design.
  • Project Support: Support system qualification activities, hardware/software integration activities, and production new product introduction activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 6+ years of solid demonstrable experience in hardware electronic engineering.
  • Skills: Proficient hardware electronic design competence in majority of the following areas: design of high integrity/safety-critical circuitry, design of microcontroller-based circuitry, design of digital interface circuitry, design of analogue signal measurement/conditioning circuitry, design of low voltage power supplies and power switching techniques, design for lightning and voltage transient protection, design for EMC/EMI.
  • Leadership and Communication: Experience in leading teams of electronic engineers, motivating and coordinating their efforts to deliver compliant designs on time within hardware development lifecycle processes.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of configuration control and change management with working knowledge of configuration management systems for design development and production.
