Job Summary

As a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer at Parker Meggitt, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement safety-critical technology for commercial and military aerospace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Hardware Electronic team in the development of electronic designs and supporting lifecycle documentation.
  • Act as an independent reviewer of electronic designs and ensure adherence to relevant project, company, or regulatory standards and processes.
  • Design, analyze, implement, and verify electronic circuits in accordance with defined requirements specifications, including cost and reliability targets.
  • Collaborate with Systems, Software, and Mechanical disciplines to ensure that hardware-level requirements have been met and to overcome trade-offs or problems identified in the design.
  • Support System qualification activities and Hardware/Software integration activities.
  • Assist Project Managers in the compilation of plans, estimates, task lists, and risk management plans.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of solid demonstrable experience in Hardware Electronic Engineering.
Desirable Skills
  • Proficient Hardware Electronic design competence in majority of the following: design of digital interface circuitry using SPI/I2C/CAN/MIPI/DDR, design for EMC/EMI.
  • Experience in leading teams of electronic engineers, motivating and coordinating their efforts to deliver compliant designs on time within hardware development lifecycle processes.
  • Experience of de-rating, reliability prediction analysis, and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Experience of electronic hardware verification including generation and execution of test procedures using standard proprietary test equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of configuration control and change management with working knowledge of configuration management systems for design development and production.
  • Ability to drive and manage PCB layout through sub-contract.
  • Awareness of embedded software to support HW/SW integration activities.
  • Ability to compile information and prepare reports drawing technical conclusions to make data-driven decisions and achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, to meet deadlines.
