About the Role

The University of Bath is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Digital, Data & Technology Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our technology stack, including SaaS, PaaS, and in-house custom applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and management of all phases of work across the team, driving continual improvement and embedding good practices, processes, and methods.
  • Ensure effective operational IT Service Delivery within your area, managing services in accordance with agreed service levels, standards, and policies.
  • Work with the DDaT Portfolio team to plan and deliver the DDaT Projects Portfolio, ensuring alignment to organizational priorities and adherence to the project delivery and assurance framework.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the teams within your area, ensuring they have the necessary resources and capabilities to deliver high-quality services.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders across the University and DDaT to represent your technology area and contribute to the development of strategic technology, IT Service Management, and project delivery roadmaps.
