Sewing Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our Production Team at the Cooneen Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the sewing and manufacturing of garments.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate flatbed sewing machines to produce high-quality garments
- Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and replacing needles and threads
- Inspect garments for quality and accuracy, using fault-finding skills to ensure compliance with client specifications
- Work efficiently under pressure to meet production targets and deadlines
- Support overtime during busy periods
- 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics, Grade C or above
- Excellent communication and planning/organizing skills
- Ability to work independently and build relationships with colleagues
- Desirable: 1 year experience in sewing manufacturing, awareness of different fabrics, and garment construction
