Job Title: Class Two HGV Driver

We are seeking an experienced Class Two HGV driver to join our team at Insight Employment Ltd. As a Class Two HGV driver, you will be responsible for delivering frozen fish and catering food to our customers' premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all vehicles used are in a roadworthy condition and report any faults to the depot/transport management.
  • Plan and schedule order deliveries according to company procedure and guidelines.
  • Verify stock and block fish before leaving the premises.
  • Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner, adhering to current legislation and driving laws.
  • Communicate effectively with the distribution team, customers, and Head Office personnel.
  • Report accidents/incidents and complete relevant paperwork.
  • Complete paperwork to facilitate deliveries and returns to company standards.
  • Ensure onboard vehicle safe is fitted and secured correctly.
  • Be responsible for cash and cheques collected during the tour of duty.
  • Refuel and maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy manner.
  • Adhere to company safety policies and wear issued safety clothing.
  • Report any Health and Safety issues without delay.
  • Complete work-related courses as directed by the Training Managers.
  • Ensure possession of relevant PODs and stock before departing the depot.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of HGV Class Two experience.
  • Valid CPC card/Tacho licence.
  • Valid driving licence for at least 2 years with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Reliability and physical fitness to lift and carry boxes of fish up to 30kg each.
  • Ability to work Bank Holidays, including Easter.

  • 48 hours guaranteed.
  • 27 days holiday (3 days to be kept for Christmas Day/Boxing Day & New Years Day).
  • Competitive hourly rate: £14.50 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience.
