Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Passive Safety Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. As a Passive Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the automotive crash safety performance of vehicles meets the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for automotive crash passive safety performance.
  • Performance planning, test planning, and analysis of CAE and physical test results.
  • Liaising between local and global departments at all stages of the vehicle development process.
  • Attending regular project meetings and feeding back key information to the department.
  • Organized and capable of effectively prioritizing and completing tasks within short deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to work, ability to work on own initiative.
  • Short, middle-term trips to Spain or France may be required to witness physical crash tests.
  • Confirming if design meets crash performance requirements and feedback to design teams.
  • Making test requests and supporting to conduct tests.
  • Analyzing CAE and test results and creating reports.
  • Creating minutes of meetings.
  • Developing process improvement tools.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Physics-related field.
  • Biomechanics knowledge is advantageous.
  • Knowledge in HV vehicle architecture a plus.
  • Experience in CAE within automotive engineering environment is a plus.
  • Experience in Automotive Passive Safety testing or restraint system development.
  • Knowledge of body engineering or electrical architecture and systems (i.e. eCall, ACU) is a plus.
  • Understanding of vehicle passive safety design concepts.
  • Experience of interpreting, executing, and analyzing a variety of Regulation and consumer-based passive safety crash tests.
  • Familiar with automotive simulation and analysis tools, such as Animator, Diadem, TrackReport.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussing internally within the company and with external test labs.
  • Highly self-motivated and driven, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel within Europe.
  • Valid UK/European driving license a must.

Working Hours and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • 39 hours per week.
  • £29.00 per hour.
