Credit Control Team Leader

Fabric Recruitment is seeking an experienced Credit Control Team Leader to drive the credit control and collections strategy for our client. As a key member of the team, you will lead a dedicated group of Credit Controllers, focusing on optimising credit processes, solving challenges, and collaborating across departments to maximise sales potential and deliver real business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Credit Controllers to drive performance and achieve targets.
  • Set and monitor monthly targets for the team, providing coaching and feedback to ensure success.
  • Review customer ledgers and ensure all accounts have actionable plans in place to manage risk and drive sales growth.
  • Establish criteria for setting credit limits for new and existing customers by analysing financial data and ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Monitor credit-held orders daily, resolving issues with Sales and Credit teams to boost sales performance and reduce debt.
  • Manage aged debt, focusing particularly on 90+ day debt and ensuring timely resolutions to maintain a healthy cash flow.
  • Act as the face of the Credit Team by liaising with Country Managers, Sales Directors, and Customer Service to resolve credit disputes and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Oversee seasonal order-book projections and ensure accurate forecasting to inform business decisions.
