About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre in Teesside. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring repairs are carried out to the highest possible standard, safely and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure repairs are carried out according to the manufacturer's procedures and Volvo Standard Times.
  • Assist in the fault diagnosis process and work with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted.
  • Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair.
  • Assist with Action Service Europe when required and participate in training and development activities.
  • Work with the team to develop new working processes or enhance current ones.

Requirements

  • City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry, including an apprenticeship in the HGV industry or equivalent experience.
  • A basic knowledge of computer software packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A general level of computer literacy and a basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.
