Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our Service & Workshop team at our Volvo Truck and Bus Centre in Teesside. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring repairs are carried out according to Volvo's standards, with a focus on electromobility solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure repairs are carried out safely and responsibly, adhering to manufacturer's procedures.
  • Use Volvo Special Tools to complete repairs within standard times.
  • Assist in fault diagnosis and warranty procedures.
  • Work with the Parts Team to ensure accurate replacement parts are fitted.
  • Road test vehicles when required, and assist with roadside breakdowns.
  • Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with, and job cards are completed accurately.
  • Support the development of young trainees and apprentices.

Requirements

  • City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Completed apprenticeship in the HGV industry, or equivalent experience, along with relevant experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • General level of computer literacy.
  • Basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.
