Quantitative Analyst - Energy Trading

Mint Selection is partnering with a European energy trading leader to find an experienced Quantitative Analyst to join their trading business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quantitative models for pricing, risk, and market forecasts.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement quantitative models for pricing, risk, and market forecasts.
  • Deploy machine learning, data tools, and advanced mathematics to identify market trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with traders, risk managers, and technology teams to enhance and automate trading strategies.
  • Develop in-house tools and techniques for data visualization, analysis, and forecasting.
About You
  • You should have a track record in quantitative analysis applied to the energy sector, coupled with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or similar.
  • Experience in energy trading, commodities, or financial services.
  • Demonstrable experience working with Python, SQL, and R.
  • Exposure or knowledge of portfolio management and risk.
