About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a mainstream school in Harrow. The successful candidate will work closely with a child with Autism in Year 2, providing individualized support and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the child's needs
  • Provide one-on-one support to the child, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and psychologists to develop and implement strategies for the child's success
  • Communicate effectively with the child, parents, and school staff to ensure a cohesive approach to support
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Right to work in the UK and experience working in the UK
