Position Overview

Waystone is seeking to hire a Fund Accounting Specialist to enhance our expanding fund administration team.

Role Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant academic background, ideally a graduate degree, or be in the process of obtaining professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, complemented by 1-2 years of pertinent experience in the field.

Core Responsibilities

  • Calculate net asset values, generate cash flow reports, and prepare compliance certificates along with other periodic documentation for our clientele.
  • Compile management accounts and related schedules as necessary.
  • Support daily operations for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring timely and precise completion of tasks.
  • Process invoices, trades, and banking transactions within the fund accounting system, adhering to established business protocols.
  • Assist in addressing client auditor inquiries and coordinate with auditors as needed.
  • Contribute to the preparation of semi-annual and annual statutory financial statements along with associated disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with fund regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new clients and modifications to existing funds.
  • Maintain operational metrics for key performance indicator reporting.
  • Continuously enhance technical accounting expertise.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal abilities with effective communication skills, both written and verbal, across all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized and methodical, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager and/or Simcorp Dimension is a plus.
  • Self-driven, enthusiastic, and committed to excellence.
  • Open to innovation, change, and ongoing improvement.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Proficient in using initiative and resolving issues with minimal oversight.
