Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate care worker to join our team at UKCIL to support a 16 year old teenager with cerebral palsy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to our young client, including assistance with daily living tasks, social activities, and leisure pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to our client, including assistance with feeding, bathing, and dressing
  • Engage in social activities and leisure pursuits with our client, such as walks, shopping, and reading
  • Support our client to develop social skills and interact with others, including siblings
  • Work independently to provide all care and support, including personal care and medication administration
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Experience working with individuals with cerebral palsy or other disabilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our client
  • Ability to work variable hours, including PM Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time
