Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate care worker to support our 16 year old son with cerebral palsy. Our ideal candidate will be able to engage and entertain a non-verbal teenager, supporting them to socialize with others and participate in activities such as walks and shopping.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to our son, including feeding through a feeding tube
- Take him for walks in his wheelchair, using the battery powered motor pack available
- Engage in social and leisure activities with our son, such as reading books and watching movies
- Work independently to provide all cares, including personal cares as required
Requirements
- Punctuality and reliability are essential
- A degree of flexibility is required, particularly during school holidays
- Ability to give feed through a feeding tube or willingness to be trained to do so
Training and Support

Working Hours
3.30-6.30 PM Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time, variably depending on need and availability during school holidays
Pay and Benefits
£12.40 per hour, with a weekly actual pay of £74 and a monthly actual pay of £
