IDVA Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate IDVA Intervention Specialist to join our team at We Do Social Work. As an IDVA Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to rebuild their lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Domestic Abuse Expertise: Develop and maintain a good understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on victims and survivors, including children and young people.
- Support and Advocacy: Provide ongoing risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, emotional support, and practical support to victims and survivors, including legal, housing, and financial guidance.
- Interviews and Assessments: Conduct interviews with victims and survivors, as well as perpetrators of abuse, to provide a holistic assessment of risk and need.
- Culturally Sensitive Service Delivery: Acquire knowledge about different groups and cultures to inform service delivery and understand how gender-based and other forms of oppression contribute to risk.
