Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Technical Services Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our MTS service, you will be responsible for the organisation and coordination of hazardous waste collections from customer facilities, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and coordinate hazardous waste collections from customer facilities, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to waste transfer sites for disposal.
  • Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures, ensuring all requirements are met on client sites and at waste receipt/disposal sites.
  • Technically assess, segregate, label, and pack waste on client sites, ensuring documentation is compliant with current UK legislation.
  • Compile and maintain lists of hazardous waste needing collection and disposal, producing required documentation and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Collect and load waste onto transport vehicles, ensuring safe and suitable transportation, and safely driving company vehicles to hazardous waste sites for disposal.

Requirements

  • Chemistry qualification (HNC or above)
  • Experience in industrial services/chemical waste industry
  • Positive attitude, good communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Full driving license

Desirable Skills

  • Trained or experienced in Confined Space Entry or Confined Space Rescue
  • Trained or experienced in using High Pressure Water Jetting
  • Trained or experienced ADR & FLT Driver with license
