Electrical Maintenance Technician - Birmingham - Salary up to £38,000 DOE

CBW Staffing Solutions is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an electrical maintenance technician to join a prominent facilities management organization. This role involves overseeing a substantial commercial property, where you will be responsible for a variety of electrical maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

The working schedule for this position follows a 4 on 4 off pattern, consisting of two day shifts from 7am to 7pm, followed by two night shifts from 7pm to 7am, with four days off thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Assistant Technical Services Manager in delivering a top-notch maintenance service.
  • Engage in the operation, repair, and upkeep of building infrastructure and engineering services while collaborating within a multi-disciplinary hard service team.
  • Ensure that the electrical systems, equipment, and facilities within the estate are maintained to the highest standards and operate efficiently.
  • Lead engineering initiatives and perform tasks for which you are trained and qualified.
  • Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive services at all times.
Person Specification:
  • Experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Background in healthcare maintenance is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of various complex mechanical systems, including but not limited to ventilation, pumps, compressors, boilers, medical gases, heating systems, and domestic hot and cold-water systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems is essential.
  • Recognized apprenticeship in a relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level.
  • Previous experience as a Competent Person/Authorised Person, including High Voltage and Low Voltage electrical systems (desirable).
  • GCSE/O Level in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • City and Guilds Inspection and Testing certification.
  • Willingness to work a flexible shift system, including nights.
  • Prepared to travel to various sites within the organization.
  • Possession of a current valid driving license.
Salary & Benefits:
  • Salary range of £32,000 - £36,000, plus an annual shift allowance of £2,000 (maximum salary of £38,000).
