About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Officer to join our team at ABM UK. As a Security Officer, you will be the public face of our Security Team, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and security of our clients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Deliver first-class customer-focused service to all visitors and tenants, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Centre Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of the centre, monitoring CCTV and responding to any incidents or security breaches.
  • Incident Management: Manage incidents in accordance with site policies and procedures, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to resolve the situation.
  • Communication: Liaise with colleagues, retailers, management, and the police to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Access Control: Control the access and egress of contractors, visitors, and staff, ensuring that all necessary checks are completed.
  • Surveillance: Monitor and report on suspicious activity, ensuring that all incidents are logged and reported in accordance with site policies.
  • Training and Development: Complete all training requirements as requested by your line manager, ensuring that you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your role effectively.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Hold a valid SIA badge (Security Industry Authority) and have a good understanding of security procedures and protocols.
  • Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in a security role, with a good understanding of security procedures and protocols.
  • Other: Be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
