Randstad is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on major infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of construction operations, adhering to design specifications, and facilitating the successful and timely completion of projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily site activities, ensuring that tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and within the allocated budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design professionals, and subcontractors to fulfill all project objectives.
  • Perform site assessments, including setting out and leveling for various infrastructure components, such as bridges and tunnels.
  • Track and report on project milestones, proactively addressing any challenges or delays.
  • Uphold compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company protocols.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including site logs, progress updates, and quality control records.
  • Support the construction team by resolving technical challenges and providing engineering insights.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Site Engineer on large-scale infrastructure initiatives, ideally within the rail industry.
  • In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, processes, and materials pertinent to structural engineering.
  • Proficient in utilizing surveying tools and software (e.g., Total Station, AutoCAD).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a keen attention to detail.
  • A valid CSCS card and a full UK driving license.
