About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious graduate to join our sales team as a Graduate Sales Trainee. As a Graduate Sales Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in sales, marketing, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a core understanding of our business operations, including warehouse, logistics, supply chain, administration, IT software, and marketing.
  • Gain hands-on experience with our vast product range and learn about different manufacturers and the electrical distribution industry.
  • Build relationships, make deals, and advise customers face-to-face over the trade counter, including electricians, contractors, and tradespeople.
  • Begin your formal sales training course, staying overnight alongside other Graduate Trainees from across the company.
  • Complete workbook assessments to underpin your learning and development and receive financial incentives for each one passed to a required standard.
Progression Opportunities

As you progress through the programme, you will have the opportunity to move into internal sales account management, engaging with business customers over the phone, including construction companies, local government authorities, housing developers, and hotels.

Later, you will progress to a diverse business-to-business field sales management position, with increased earning potential and bigger bonuses.

You will travel locally in your company car, meeting clients, discussing projects, and arranging social activities.

Ultimately, you will work towards running your own business in the group, learning about staff management, purchasing, profit and loss, etc.
