Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Officer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Legal Officer, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to our clients in the planning and property sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements.
  • Provide expert advice on Right to Buy, Lease extensions, and property transactions.
  • Assist in the management of property transactions, including the creation and discharge of mortgages.
  • Collaborate with our Homebuy and Property Compliance teams to ensure the efficient delivery of council objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure high-quality work and regular communication with clients.

Requirements:

  • A law degree (LPC / LLM / LLB) or relevant working experience is essential.
  • Case experience of Right to Buy, Lease extensions, and property transactions is essential.
  • Previous experience of working at a local authority is also essential.
