We are currently looking to hire a Lead Procurement Specialist. Please note that we are unable to provide sponsorship for these positions. This role will require on-site presence for four days a week, with one day available for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate and execute purchase orders, oversee multiple suppliers/components, and guarantee timely delivery of products that meet quality benchmarks. Cultivate and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure that critical program objectives are achieved. Track essential metrics and monitor supplier milestones that are crucial for meeting project deliverables. Analyze and assess performance against cost objectives, communicating any potential impacts. Formulate and implement corrective action strategies to mitigate supplier risks and issues. Collaborate with Program, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to eliminate obstacles to achieving business objectives. Actively engage in special initiatives aimed at developing and refining processes, ensuring the establishment of effective and accurate metrics. Assist colleagues within Supply Chain Management in identifying and defining opportunities for performance enhancement and efficiency improvements. Clarify policies, practices, and procedures while influencing their development among peers. Address complex and challenging problems that arise in the course of work. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and activities such as Value Stream Mapping or Kaizen events.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience in Supply Chain Management with relevant educational background or certifications. In the absence of formal qualifications, substantial and relevant experience is required. Familiarity with SAP or other MRP systems. Experience in managing supplier relationships. Background in procurement processes. Proficient in communicating with diverse audiences. Must have eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical proficiency with the ability to comprehend intricate manufacturing processes. Skills in project management. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience in process improvement methodologies. Background in the Aerospace sector. Experience in delivering executive presentations.
