Join Our Team as a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician

Enterprise Mobility is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to become a vital part of our workshop team.

Training and Development: No prior vehicle maintenance qualifications are necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for cars and a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates may have completed a basic vehicle maintenance course or possess a strong DIY background in automotive care.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary

Work Schedule:

  • 45 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Working hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all systems and components are functioning safely and effectively.
  • Identify and replace worn components proactively to prevent vehicle breakdowns.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for repairs and parts replacements in accordance with company protocols.
  • Maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Perform test drives when permitted and with the appropriate driving license.
  • Utilize power tools and machinery safely and return them to their designated storage after use.
  • Employ hand tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches for minor repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols by using Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Document all work performed accurately in both paper and digital formats, submitting reports to the Workshop Manager at the end of each shift.
  • Follow company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Work in compliance with risk assessments and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the workspace and ensure walkways are unobstructed.
  • Safeguard vehicles and property by adhering to company security practices.
  • Report any health and safety concerns to the Workshop Manager immediately.
  • Complete assigned tasks before the end of the shift or ensure proper handover of ongoing jobs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet customer and workshop needs.
  • Assist in the assembly of additional equipment (training provided).
  • Support workshop and mobile operations as needed.
  • Help with parts management, including stock control and issuing parts.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles upon arrival at the depot.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all vehicles meet rental standards.
  • Conduct daily yard inspections.
  • Ensure safe parking of all vehicles, considering pedestrian safety.
  • Follow health and safety protocols consistently.
  • Assist with vehicle cleaning as required.

  • Strong listening skills and a readiness to learn from experienced colleagues.
  • Basic reading and computer literacy skills to complete necessary tasks.
  • A solid understanding of health and safety practices in a busy workshop environment.
