Windsor Forest Colleges is seeking a highly committed and experienced safeguarding practitioner to join our team as a Deputy Safeguarding Lead - Student Welfare. This role will involve sharing responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across our college community.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings to ensure effective safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Contribute to the assessment of students and provide advice and support to staff on student welfare and child protection matters.
- Liaise with relevant agencies, including the local authority, CAMHS, and police, to ensure effective safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Make referrals to external agencies, including Child and Adult Social Services, Police, external counselling services, CAMHS, Youth Services, and the Youth Offending Team.
- Highly committed and experienced safeguarding practitioner with an education or children's services background.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to the development of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, students, and external agencies.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Full-time position based at Langley.
