Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Hunter Mason Consulting Ltd. As a Procurement Specialist - Construction Fit Out (Permanent), you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Sourcing: Source and purchase materials, equipment, and services to ensure cost-effective procurement and timely delivery.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure the best value and maintain strong relationships.
  • Expenditure Management: Monitor expenditures and ensure purchases align with budget constraints and project goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and standards.
  • Tendering and Negotiation: Assist with tender processes and negotiate favourable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a Buyer / Buying / Tendering / Estimator / Estimating role, ideally in the shop fitting, retail fit-out, or construction sectors.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the retail industry, including client needs, project lifecycles, and industry regulations.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships and close deals.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and CRM systems, along with a solid grasp of budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
