Nursery Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Nursery People. Our nursery is located near Dulwich, with excellent transport links and a short walk from the train station.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for a designated group of children and will guide them through their daily routine. You will work closely with parents and provide a nurturing environment that promotes positive relationships and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and purposeful experiences for children, tailored to their age and stage of development
  • Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in the nursery
  • Stay up-to-date with key priorities, developments, and company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and regulatory requirements
