We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Chemotherapy Nurse to join our Acute Oncology Team at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with cancer, focusing on chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programs of evidence-based nursing care for patients with cancer.
- Collaborate with oncologists, haematologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and maintain expertise in systemic anti-cancer treatments and their administration.
- Support the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and audit programs to ensure high-quality care.
- Contribute to the education and training of staff, patients, and carers on cancer care and symptom management.
- Registration on Part 1 or 12 of the NMC Register (RGN or RN Adult).
- Degree in a relevant health-related subject.
- Recognised SACT chemotherapy course.
- Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience, including 2 years in a related specialty at a previous grade.
