Occupational Therapist Opportunity in Acute Inpatient Setting

IMC Locums is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in an acute inpatient setting in the East Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified OT to make a real difference in patient care within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions to a diverse caseload of patients within an acute inpatient setting.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support patients' recovery and facilitate safe and timely discharges.
  • Develop individual care plans, focusing on patient-centred goals aimed at improving functional independence and quality of life.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities, creating bespoke treatment programs.
  • Liaise with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care planning.
  • Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for appropriate follow-up care or community support services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in line with departmental and professional standards.
Essential Requirements:
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
