An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented and systematic engineer to take on the role of Bill of Materials Controller. We are looking for a collaborative individual with a keen eye for precision, who thrives in a fast-paced environment, utilizing computer systems to establish Bill of Materials frameworks alongside Design Engineers, while ensuring thorough checks and validations of engineering part releases.

As a Bill of Materials Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing and verifying data to ensure parts transition seamlessly from design to production in a timely manner.
  • Supporting designers and project teams throughout the design release process.
  • Reviewing parts and assemblies within our systems to confirm adherence to required engineering change protocols.
  • Engaging with design engineers to address any emerging issues.
  • Aligning the bill of materials with the needs of manufacturing, inventory management, and race engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree-level engineering qualification, HND, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment, with familiarity in utilizing computer systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • A comfort level with data verification tasks.
  • An understanding of bill of materials structures and their significance in product manufacturing.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly to various stakeholders.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a passion for problem-solving and critical thinking.

This role is vital to the success of our engineering processes and will provide the successful candidate with valuable exposure to the F1 development program.

Working within the Design Quality team in the Vehicle Design department, this position plays a key role in advancing Williams Racing's digital engineering change management initiatives.

Training on our software systems will be provided.
