We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pharmacy Dispensary, ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of prescriptions for in-patients, out-patients, day-patients, and leave/discharge patients.
Main Duties- Accurately and promptly dispense prescriptions, including Controlled Drugs, and maintain appropriate records.
- Issue dispensed medicines to patients and confirm their understanding of how to use them.
- Participate in the 'late night' and weekend service provided by the Dispensary department.
- Undertake 'final-checking' according to a defined policy when competence has been proven.
- Provide Enhanced Patient Counselling following appropriate training.
