Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in our acute medical wards.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing a clinical caseload of patients, including assessment, formulation, and evaluation of patient-centred care.
- Facilitating safe discharge planning from hospital to the community.
- Deputising for the Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team.
- Providing training and development opportunities for new graduate Occupational Therapists, student therapists, and support workers.
- Promoting the role of Occupational Therapy and demonstrating the values of the Trust to the multidisciplinary team.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BSc Occupational Therapist or MSc Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Highly developed clinical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent organisational skills.
- At least 18 months post-graduate experience in relevant care settings, with a proven record of providing high-quality intervention for high-risk patients.
