About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Restaurant Assistant at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to prepare and serve food, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety protocols and food hygiene standards.
  • Assist with the preparation and service of functions, including events and meetings.
  • Support the vending machine service, ensuring stock levels are maintained and cash handling is accurate.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an NHS catering environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent.
