As a Clinical Education Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing pre-operative patient care and planning for safe and timely discharge following surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and pre-operative patient care, and plan for safe and timely discharge following surgery.
- Communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality with patient carers and the multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide accurate, timely, and contemporary records of care and treatment in line with UHBW record-keeping policy and NMC.
- Work within Trust Nursing policies and procedures and professional boundaries, undertaking all appropriate aspects of nursing care required, including specific relevant clinical skills gained following appropriate training and instruction.
- Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients, administering medicines in accordance with Trust policy, promoting a clean environment, and preventing hospital-acquired infections.
- Respond positively and act promptly to resolve problems/issues for patients/carers, utilizing complaints procedures and PALs where appropriate.
- Assist with the smooth running of the clinical area by carrying out other duties such as unpacking stores, tidying, and cleaning up equipment.
