Pastoral Manager - Newcastle

The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Newcastle to find a skilled professional to join their team as a Pastoral Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people in a secondary school setting and a strong understanding of the issues affecting students and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the re-integration of pupils back into school through intervention and extended support
  • Work as part of the Deep Support Team to promote learning and welfare of vulnerable students
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage students in positive behaviors for learning
  • Build effective working relationships with students, parents, and colleagues at all levels
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people in a secondary school setting
  • Knowledge of issues affecting students and young people and strategies to engage them in positive behaviors for learning
  • Excellent written communication and high standards of literacy and numeracy
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
