Position: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Chorley, Lancashire.

Working Hours: Full-Time, 8:45am - 3:15pm.

Compensation: £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience).

We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to become an integral part of our dynamic educational environment in Chorley. As a vital member of the Key Stage 2 team, you will significantly contribute to the educational and developmental progress of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized support to students with SEN, ensuring their engagement with the curriculum and participation in classroom activities.
  • Execute individual education plans (IEPs) and support frameworks established by the SEN Coordinator and teaching staff.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive educational atmosphere where every student feels appreciated and motivated to achieve their utmost potential.
  • Assist with personal care and social growth as dictated by the unique needs of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and external organizations to provide comprehensive support for students with SEN.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary educational setting.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanor, with a sincere enthusiasm for fostering the educational growth of children with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are preferred.
