Senior Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer to join our team at Plum Fintech. As a key member of our Compliance and Risk Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business operations are compliant with all relevant financial services regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on financial services regulations and ensure that our business operations are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective compliance and risk management strategies to mitigate potential risks and ensure the integrity of our business operations.
- Collaborate with our Partnerships and Strategy team to scope and execute our biggest strategic initiatives, ensuring that they are compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Engage directly with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and other regulatory bodies to respond to queries and ensure that our business operations are compliant with all relevant regulations.
- Support the development of new authorisations and permissions as we scale across the EU and add new products to our platform.
- Manage the process of any new authorisations requests that we make.
- Support with review of commercial contracts and fundraising on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements
- 3-4 years PQE experience in financial services regulation.
- Good knowledge of CASS and the provisions that govern regulated MiFID investment firms across the UK and EU.
- Experience dealing directly with National Competent Authorities and Financial Regulators.
- Extremely fungible and able to work independently, with a strong ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience in a fast-growing fintech or a large incumbent financial services institution is a plus.
