Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 12/15 employees, with 2 direct reports
  • Ensure the quarry's production levels are maintained safely, to schedule and in accordance with the quarry plan
  • Oversee major extraction to the highest safety and environmental standards
  • Manage third-party contractors, company operatives and road hauliers to ensure supply to internal and external customers
  • Budget management and manage costs of the quarry operations
  • Management of the quarries quality assurance and environmental systems, including water discharge best practice
  • Interpret, collect and analysis of extraction and geological data and its effective use to develop and achieve key targets and objectives
  • Project management of defined capex projects
  • Promote the highest Health & Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment and active participation in quarry health safety and environmental audits
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • The successful applicant must have one of the following recognised qualifications: geological or quarry management
  • Experience of being appointed under Regulation c) of the Quarry Regulations
  • EHS/ HSE Level 4 (training provided to reach level 6)
  • Demonstrable quarry supervisory experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Quarry Manager to join a market-leading international manufacturer with an impressive network of quarry operations located next to their manufacturing plants. The Quarry Manager will be based close to Monmouth and will have a salary of up to 60,000, a company car, company pension matched up to 8%, a generous holiday allowance, and 8% KPI bonus. In addition, a relocation package may also be available for the right candidate.

The successful Quarry Manager will have the opportunity to join a true market leader and will be responsible for managing a team of 12/15 employees, ensuring the quarry's production levels are maintained safely, to schedule and in accordance with the quarry plan. The Quarry Manager will also be responsible for overseeing major extraction to the highest safety and environmental standards, managing third-party contractors, company operatives and road hauliers to ensure supply to internal and external customers, and promoting the highest Health & Safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.

The successful applicant must have one of the following recognised qualifications: geological or quarry management, experience of being appointed under Regulation c) of the Quarry Regulations, EHS/ HSE Level 4 (training provided to reach level 6), and demonstrable quarry supervisory experience.
