Supply Chain Manager Job Description

Quick Staff UK is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our client's supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company's objectives and market demands.
  • Lead sourcing and procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials and services at the best possible cost.
  • Oversee inventory management to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimize shortages.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance metrics are met and conducting regular evaluations.
  • Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and analyze data to drive continuous improvements in supply chain operations.
  • Ensure all supply chain activities comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in FMCG.
  • Proven experience in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
