Job Title: Civil Engineer Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to lead and grow a new team in our Manchester office. As a key member of our multidisciplinary civil engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality projects, driving business growth, and supporting the expansion of our Manchester office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and utilities, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and exceptional quality.
  • Technical Expertise: Lead the technical design and delivery of infrastructure projects using industry-standard software, ensuring designs meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact in the Manchester office, and leverage your network to grow the office's client base.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to their professional development and the overall success of the team.
  • Business Development: Support business growth in the region by identifying new project opportunities and collaborating with colleagues to secure new clients.
Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong track record in delivering infrastructure projects.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in using design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in team leadership or project management, with the ability to inspire and grow a new team.
  • Business Acumen: Experience in business development and the ability to help secure new projects and clients.
