Company & Project:

An award-winning Tier 1 Main Contractor with a busy project pipeline is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Construction Delivery team, working on a newly secured c£70m New Build Mixed-Use project in Suffolk.

The company is a well-respected employer with a healthy secured order book for 2025 onwards, including a number of projects valued at c£50m+.

The successful candidate will lead a c£70m project containing a mixture of New Build and Refurbishment, joining prior to the project starting on site.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing all project management functions for the project, from planning, design, and financial management, through to practical construction delivery.

Previous experience in managing projects £30m+ as No1 PM is essential, along with a strong working knowledge of both pre-construction project management, contract management, H&S, and exceptional client-facing skills.

The ideal candidate will have a stable career history working for Top 100 Main Contractors on projects from concept to completion and with experience of managing teams of 20+.

Previously held Number 1 Project Manager roles with recognised Top 100 Main Contractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Construction projects £30m+ within any of the following sectors: Commercial, MOD/Defence, Education, Science, or Mixed-Use sectors.
  • Leading teams of c20 staff, including solid technical knowledge of planning, design, commercial, and construction delivery.
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Construction Management or comparable qualification - NVQ/HNC etc.
  • Valid CSCS Card and ideally NVQ Level 6, BSc or MCIOB.
  • Exceptional client-facing and people management skills.
