We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Professional to join our team at a primary school in Lambeth. The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with Autism (ASC), ensuring they receive the individualized attention needed to succeed in a mainstream educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Support: Offer one-on-one and small group assistance to students with Autism, tailoring your approach to fit their unique needs.
  • Behavioural Guidance: Use positive behaviour management techniques to help students with ASC navigate the school day successfully.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with teachers and the SENCO to implement and maintain Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Monitoring Progress: Regularly monitor and record the progress of students with ASC, adjusting support strategies as necessary and communicating effectively with the teaching team.
  • Inclusive Learning: Contribute to a classroom environment that is inclusive, supportive, and responsive to the needs of students with Autism.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant with a focus on Autism support is highly desirable.
  • Skills: The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and skilled in adapting to the diverse needs of students with ASC.
  • Dedication: A strong commitment to supporting the educational and social development of students with Autism is essential.
