Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theatre Practitioner to lead our Theatre Team in delivering exceptional patient care during the perioperative episode. As a Senior Theatre Practitioner - Team Leader - Ortho and Neuro/Spinal, you will be responsible for providing clinical and technical assistance, managing labour and costs, improving communication between Consultants and the Theatre team, and promoting best practice and quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of theatre professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the Operating Theatre Team.
  • Assist with managing labour and costs associated with theatre operations.
  • Improve communication between Consultants and the Theatre team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Clinical Governance: Ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
  • Manage and control costs to optimize theatre efficiency.
  • Staff performance and reviews: Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Promote best practice and contribute to quality improvements.

Requirements:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a senior post.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Immediate Life Support provider.
  • Mentorship qualification.
