Job Overview

The Billing Operations team plays a crucial role in overseeing the various billing systems and ensuring that all transactions are executed promptly and accurately.

A significant aspect of this position is to pinpoint opportunities for process enhancements to boost efficiency and minimize errors within the billing framework.

Key Responsibilities of a Financial Analyst at Visa:

  • Manage segments of gross revenue accounting, billing, and collection activities. This includes preparing necessary information for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, such as manual entries, journal preparations, balance sheet reconciliations, and flux reporting.
  • Oversee the manual monthly billing operations by collaborating with Product and Service owners to guarantee that billing files are precise, timely, and comprehensive.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of billing processes and controls to mitigate potential billing error risks.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements aimed at enhancing value and simplifying processes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, serving as a primary contact for Billing Operations inquiries.
  • Analyze newly executed contracts to determine the appropriate billing and accounting implications.
  • Perform setup tasks in the Billing system and its associated databases.
  • Address billing-related inquiries, data requests, and issue resolutions.
  • Support the broader Revenue Operations team as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analyses and projects as necessary.

Importance of this Role at Visa:

The Billing Operations team is essential for delivering client invoices and managing the associated collections. Implementing and maintaining effective processes and systems is vital for achieving this objective.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, auditing, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong data management capabilities to develop macros, queries, and process automation that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and analysis of manual billing tasks.
  • Proficient in systems such as Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, Power BI, etc. Previous experience with Oracle Financials, ORMB, or other billing systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo, demonstrate curiosity, and advocate for changes that add value and reduce manual tasks.
  • Data analysis skills with an aptitude for understanding, interpreting, and investigating data.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, motivated, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Proactive in recognizing and resolving issues.
