We are partnering with a Charity in the East of England to recruit Housing Support Workers on a temporary to permanent or permanent basis across various locations in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire.
The positions are available to start immediately, with the potential to become permanent after a successful temporary period. The hourly rate of pay is negotiable up to £15.40 via an Umbrella company, and the salary for the permanent role is £24,382.80.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular visits to a caseload of around 9 clients with complex needs, including homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health.
- Perform risk assessments, including health and safety and fire risk checks.
- Assist clients with Housing and welfare benefit claims and application processes.
- Provide guidance and signpost clients to external support agencies.
- Develop and monitor support programs to promote independence and build trusting relationships with clients.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of the benefits system, including Housing Benefits.
- Ability to work within boundaries, maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Full new starter induction.
- Time off in lieu.
- Pension.
- Sick pay after a qualifying period.
- 25 days annual leave pro rata plus bank holidays.
- EAP.
- 37 hours per week.
- Rota'd shifts Monday to Friday, with approximately 1 in 5 weekends worked, with Monday and Friday off that week.
