Female Support Worker - Whitworth House, Cambridge

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at Whitworth House in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to our female service users, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Our service users are women aged 16-24 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and require a level of support before they can sustain their own accommodation. As a Female Support Worker, you will work closely with our team to provide a safe and supportive environment, helping our service users to build confidence, develop life skills, and access education and employment opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with service users and providing individualized support to help them achieve their goals
  • Working collaboratively with the team to provide a holistic approach to support, including risk assessments, referrals, and advocacy
  • Supporting service users to access education, employment, and training opportunities
  • Providing guidance and support to help service users manage risks and make positive decisions
  • Actively engaging with service users and stakeholders to ensure the service is meeting their needs and delivering high-quality support

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting women and has experience working in a similar field. You will need to be resilient, empathetic, and able to work effectively in a team.
