Job Purpose

The Global Supplier Management & Sustainability Programs department helps build and maintain a sustainable and resilient supplier base across the DHL Group. We ensure that environmental, social, and ethical (ESG) standards applicable by law and in line with DHL Group's own standards are built into relevant processes and accepted by suppliers to support the DHL Group purpose.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Monitor sustainability trends and market developments, conducting analyses on the effectiveness of measures, and delivering recommendations for action to strengthen supplier sustainability and support our decarbonization journey.
  2. Use insights to identify opportunities, make recommendations to improve approach, and develop sustainable procurement practices and standards.
  3. Work with sourcing and purchasing organizations to initiate and embed sustainability practices and standards.
  4. Help implement agreed standards and policies into relevant category and sourcing strategies.
  5. Develop knowledge and expertise as a sustainability and responsible sourcing specialist, demonstrating in-depth understanding of the broader industry and relevant environmental and social considerations.
  6. Promote good interdepartmental relations and contribute to establishing a professional and efficient department reputation.
  7. Participate in supplier meetings to explain sustainable procurement programs and gain buy-in.
  8. Design and drive initiatives to support our sustainability agenda and undertake ad-hoc duties as required.
  9. Conduct preliminary and follow-up supplier audits to ensure standards are met and necessary evidence/information is gathered.
Your Profile
  1. Holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Management, Supply Chain Management, Sustainability Studies, or equivalent qualification.
  2. 3+ years' experience in an international environment and in a similar sustainability and responsible sourcing role.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of ESG supply chain risks and CSR guidelines.
  4. Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft 365 and data analytics, with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights in multiple formats.
  5. High level of organizational skills, with the ability to operate autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage time.
  6. Strong project management skills, including the ability to direct multiple topics simultaneously.
  7. Ability to identify and solve problems and provide ideas on process improvement in a simple way.
  8. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across a wide range of stakeholders.
  9. Pragmatic, process, and results-oriented personality, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
  10. International mindset and high level of cross-cultural awareness.
  11. Ability to think from a business perspective and bring those around you on the journey.
  12. Open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  13. Understanding of sourcing processes and systems.
