About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team at AWE Plc. As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for leading the commissioning process for our capital new build projects, ensuring that all systems are safely and efficiently commissioned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and chair the Test and Commissioning Panel (T&CP) for assigned projects
  • Act as the Intelligent Customer, providing in-house capability and managing commissioning services
  • Provide technical review of commissioning documentation and represent commissioning at design review meetings
  • Write commissioning procedures and manage their content, production, and approval
  • Ensure that commissioning activities follow the appropriate Project Delivery Map
  • Witness site and offsite commissioning tests and produce Commissioning Strategy and Commissioning Reports
  • Be responsible for the professional development, performance, and ethical standards of staff within their responsibility and reporting chain
Requirements
  • Hold an appropriate qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Degree/ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent experience)
  • Proven track record and extensive knowledge and experience of commissioning new plant in a multi-discipline, safety-critical, and highly-regulated industry
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence both internally and externally to AWE
  • Membership of an appropriate professional institute as an incorporated engineer with equivalent academic or vocational certification (desirable)
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role
